9.51 on a wednesday and I’m taking a break from listening to the load of Carlin that they’re playing on XM radio. It has made the night go by really fast, which maybe I should have tried a work today. I’ve started a sketch and have ideas for some more projects on the horizon.
I picked up the new Juxtapoz today at lunch which made the train ride enjoyable and I’m almost finished with the book on Sonic Youth. Next up is a book about the different classes of nerds. I think it should be interesting. My wife thinks that I bought the book because of the cover, shhhh…don’t tell her that it was part of the reason, but really it speaks to my obsession with the Revenge of the Nerds series of great cinema.
On that note, I’m out. Until next time….COURAGE.
I’m currently reading a book on SONIC YOUTH and during this process I’ve come to realize that I lent a few albums out to friends and then we moved and those albums decided to stay with their new owners. Now I have to go on another re-buying quest. I guess that is what happens.
It is fifteen minutes past the time that I’m usually asleep and I don’t think that I’ll probably be able to sleep too well tonight as I’m wound up from the day’s work and my mind is racing. I did come up with a few more ideas for illustrations, but I really need to work on the ones that were started a few weeks back. I’m falling into the habit of getting home from the day job and pretty much doing everything but work on my own shit. Well, I’m taking a stand, as of right now, I’m going to force myself to fill an artistic quota. Well I guess that I should really call it for the evening and try to get some sleep so I can fight off the day job wolves. Until the next time, courage.
We’re on our way out of the door to head to the great white north, sort of. Tis’ only Wyoming. I sort of feel like a changed delete after a week with glasses. Though, I’m probably not required to wear them as much as I do, I’m still sinking into the “nerd”ness of them and now feel even closer to my brothers of nerdism. Long live SKOLNICK. Until the next time, COURAGE.
There is always room for Jello. Ok, that was a lame thing to say, but hey, sounds like that should be a good show. We’re probably going to catch the Melvins whilst on holiday in Seattle next month. The melvins date here in d-town is going to have SECRET CHIEFS 3 on the date as well. Maybe I should hit that up as well? Can you say epic?
I came across this via, itsnicethat.com. Mike Sacks has a batch of photos of snapshots of the telly. I’ve tried this a few times and you can get some pretty interesting results. When things are pulled out of one context and displayed in another, oh the things that can happen.
The steak of the beast was consumed a few eves ago by the delete and wife and all hath a full stomach as ye result. Ok, I’m done speaking like that. So, yesterday we went to the eye doctor and to get the blinkers checked out and it turns out that after thirty-one years I’m in need of a small amount of assistance with my vision. I now own a pair of corrective lenses and according to bugs bunny cartoons should be able to get out of getting punched in the face more as bringing up the “you wouldn’t hit a guy wearing glasses?” clause. I’m “looking” forward to that. Wow, that was stupid. When Hockey season is back into it, I’ll be able to keep better track of the puck.

Going through my links tonight, I came across the work of Mr. Forson again and thought that I’d mention it to folks that might be peeping this blog. Check out his work here. Lots of good work. On that note, I’m going to finish the night’s search and head to beddy-bye. Until tomorrow….you know the drill.
