Listen, the mighty ear is here.

After the week of revisiting my metal roots, I’ve now have repurchased a Carcass album and two Danzig album. Oh the humanity. It has been nice. Though I wasn’t able to attend the funeral service for my friend yesterday, I was there in my head. In other news, A Brand Above is an awesome Canadian design firm. I really like the collection of identities as well as the illustration work. I came across this via the newly redesigned surfstation.com. It is quickly trumping my daily interwebs peeping schedule. I’m working on some illustrations for an album cover right now. I’ll most likely post some snapshots of the progress over the weekend. This type of work is very enjoyable for me as I have flashbacks of locking myself in my room trying to recreate the latest “eddie” or “vic rattlehead” cover that I just had gotten out of the plastic wrapping. This made me think of growing my mop back, but after a quick mention to my wife, she has vetoed that “think”, so I guess I’ll have to stick with rebuying albums that have been lost over the years as well as relish the fact that rather than follow the flip flop and business casual wear that seems to be the uniform in the office these days, I drown everything out with metal and chuck taylors. Score one for the delete. That is all for now. Until next time, courage.
