Only So Many Songs Can Be Sung with Two Lips, Two Lungs and One Tongue.

Another Sunday, another blog entry. We’re getting closer to having most of our bathroom back in order. It’s been a while, but our contractor tis’ very detail oriented which makes me feel better about the amount of money we’re spending on this venture. We survived the electrical upgrade, that was a chore, even though I was only here at Deleted Inc. for part of it because the power was out and there wasn’t much to do. I drove over to the Capitol city, bought some records, action figures and an oriole feeder. I then took myself to the movies to watch Renfield, it’s was a good one. This should be the week that we get a toilet, sink and regular functioning shower installed. We’re on hold for the steam function until the glass comes in. That’ll probably be at least 4 weeks, but like that catsup company says, good things come to those who want a steamy shower.

I’ve been trying to get the yard in shape. The weather this year has been quite a bit colder than usual and I haven’t felt much like toughing it out in the yard. My focus has been on the bathroom remodel, but have managed to get all of the flower beds cleaned out. I’ll get woods chips in, plant bulbs, seeds and potatoes in the next week or so. I need to take our fire pit for a test drive. We’ve gots a gas one, which is a drop in the bucket for clean burning as my neighbors have decided to try to dry out all of the wet firewood that they have going. Man, I hate my neighbors. That’s a whole other blog post though. My project for this year is to work on planting a natural barrier keeping said neighbors out of my yard. I’m thinking about alternating roses and some sort of pollinator friendly plants and maybe adding a small fence along the west side of the yard.

I’ll soon have my studio space back which I’ll use to catch up on the birdhouse painting for the year. I need to touch up the ones in the yard too. I’ll start on the next velvety pursuit too. I’ve missed that.

We’re in the midst of the hockey playoffs and it’s been a weird one. I’ve kept the tradition of doing illustrations. Hopefully I’ll be making these for awhile too.

I’ve been getting back into music lately too. I’m set to see Mr. Bungle next month in Denver. I’ve never seen them live and am really looking forward to it. I’m headed there with my friend Robert and it’s going to be a great time. I’m really enjoying the new PORTRAYAL OF GUILT album and the Dead Bob album, it makes me miss NOMEANSNO, man.

Well, that’s all that I can think of to bore you with right now. Until next time, COURAGE. And as always #FODBM
