I deactivated my personal facebook account last night. The rigmarole was wearing on my nerves and happiness. Not to mention the fact that even though I’m friends with folks via facebook doesn’t really mean that I keep in touch with any of them. People thought that electronic mail, or email as most folks refer to it these days, was a lazy form of communication, well if this true then facebook, twitter and other social media vehicles must be it’s lazy deadbeat uncle. Nevertheless, I’ve kept the ART OF BEENDELETED page open. And if you really are missing being in touch with me, which seems doubtful, use a telephone or some other form of communication, those are still very valid ways of communicating.
So, with the time that I save from not being on facebook I am going to concentrate on more illustrations. We are currently looking to purchase a home and with this I think I will finally have a space revisit my oil painting which has fallen off to glacial pace in the past 5 years. More updates on that to come.
Until the next time, COURAGE.
*Update: After a long conversation with my wife, she has pointed out that in the case of “manners” this may not be the best solution to my anti-social behavior. So, I’ve resurrected my account. You are welcome.
