Josef is designing, illustrating and delivering the groceries at 138 beats per minute.

The unfortunate Denny Pratt tragedy.

And so it begins. Enjoy opening night.

Opening Day Eve.

One more day of non-hockey time. And I hope it goes quickly! I’ve cleared my schedule for the weekend, not that I have any social engagements to deal with on most weekends, to lock myself in and watch as many games as I can. I’ll be busting out the CHIEFS sweater and enjoying the subscription to Center Ice. Until next time, courage.

Bring it.

The hockey season starts in two days. Prepare the cannons.

Hockey moms against a hockey mom.

I’m hating the fact that they’re mixing hockey in with politics, but thought this clip was rather entertaining. Hopefully this will be the information the public needs on where to place their vote! Finally, the puck has dropped on the first game of the season. I think I’ve already spent too much time prepping for this season. The real season starts on thursday. Prepare the horns! Until next time, courage.

Aleks Sennwald on a friday.

(Found on itsnicethat.com) Aleks Sennwald has some pretty interesting illustrations. I likes it. Well, it is friday and I’ve managed to stomach another week, good for me. this weekend marks the beginning of hockey season, though it really doesn’t get going until this coming thursday. All I can say is, goodie! I’m tired of hearing about all other sports and I’m ready to plug my ears with the hockey season, a sport that is worth watching. Please tell Palin to quit associating hockey with herself, it is not necessary. I did a bit of illustration work last evening and will get the roughs ready to ship off tonight. Let’s hope that the day job doesn’t suck all of my ambition out of me. Fingers crossed, until next time courage.

In these difficult times…

Ice skating chimps sort of make all worries go away, right? You can thank my friend Mr. Wirtz for directing me to this gem of a video. So, last evening I officially ordered the NHL Center Ice package and according to the Red Wings fan, Herman, who fielded my phone call, I should be able to watch games starting Wednesday. So, there is hope for my carrot-less stick. Tonight I will hopefully find some time to start on some illustrations that have been requested for a few musical projects, also known as bands. More on this soon. Enjoy the horror that is tuesday.

Oh hockey season, get your arse in gear!

This past weekend I spent the mornings checking out the Avalanche training camp. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it was actually really fricken’ sweet. You can check out drills on one side of the arena, or you can check out the scrimmages that are going on the other side. Granted, I couldn’t convince my wife that it was fun, so I was flying solo, but had a nice free time, and I took a lot of photos. Dammit, the start of the hockey season is an entire field of carrots at the end of the stick. Until next time, COURAGE.

Deleted Burger, Hold the Government.

I started writing this yesterday morning, but ended up falling asleep around nine and didn’t wake up until morning realizing that I was super close to oversleeping. Eek! Not the best start to the day. It tis’ cold and rainy outside, which is good because I’m getting ready for cooler weather. This weekend should be full of freelance, art and hopefully practicing my skills on NHL 09. My interest in hockey has been concerning me lately. Sure, I love watching it and I’m planning on signing up for a cable package that allows me to pretty much have access to every game going on, but I don’t consider myself to be the stereotypical hockey/sports fan. I hear people at the rat race speak about their football/basketball/baseball teams and I wonder if I ever sound like that when I speak of hockey. I don’t believe that I do, as luckily for me they leave that sport out of their conversation. They seem to throw hockey into the same category as nascar or some sort of second class sport. Oh well, I’m older now, I don’t do much these days except design, art and follow me some hockey. To each his own. That is all for now. I’ve got to take Ike out before we head out. That tis’ all for now. Until next time, COURAGE.
