Another week, another random blog entry for Beendeleted Inc.  This week holds more groundwork to be laid for das’ freelance as well as a bit of a road trip later in the week.

After a full month of being cubicle-less, I’ve realized quite a few things. One of the things is the fact that I should have done this sooner. Sure, work is work is work, but you’re treated like a 3rd grader in 3rd grade for a reason. Outside of that, unless you’re deserving of it, it is really uncalled for. I’m just now grasping the depths of my professional PTSD that I have suffered as a result of the most recent office dynamic. I could go into it more, but it would be like kicking a dead horse. I guess that I should let the horse lay and await the pick up from the glue factory.

Being removed from the office space for over a month and now with distance from the former co-workers and a change up of clientele, I realize that I don’t like anything about our current location. The insane amounts of churches and conservative weirdos in these parts is a bit like water not mixing with really stupid/religious oil. Deleted Inc. shall be shopping new spots to set up shop.

Maybe this zoloft has gone bad, maybe I just hate this time of year or maybe I’m just fed up with being stuck in hermit limbo. I think I either need to find a way to socialize with folks closer to me and my interests or I should embrace my hermitism and shut off everything social.

In other news, I’m working on some promotional items for Beendeleted, Inc. which will involve some sort of contest that I can have nobody partake in. Hopefully that isn’t the case, but either way….something is getting vectorized.

Today marks week number 3 of being “out on my own” professionally and I’m still enjoying it a lot more than the previous set up. Sure, there are downsides, but as a whole I believe this will treat Deleted Inc. well. It feels like the soul sucking has been reversed a bit and my inspiration is coming back. This is a good thing.

I’m still in the process of running through my online listings, i.e. KROP, Design:Related, etc., and updating with current information to get the word out that I’m available for freelance. I’m also trying to beef up the collection of “Likes” on the ol’ facebook page. I did have to do some house cleaning with the list, but am still hovering around 100 likes. I’m thinking that since my offers of “hugs” isn’t working so far. Maybe I’ll offer my illustration services as a carrot, i.e. vectorize the 100th member of the Deleted masses as a reward. We’ll see how that pans out.

Outside of the self-promotion,  I’ve also been working on some illustration ideas that will most likely break out of the computer and onto the sketch pad and possibly to canvas. Also, my copy of the KARP documentary finally found it’s way to my mailbox. If you have checked it out yet, DO IT! The past two weeks have been filled with working on some promotional items to help in the venture of freelance. I’ve tried to go through all of my listings online and update them with relevant info and to let folks know that I’m available for freelance. It is a nice change from the cubicle. Though I do have a hunch that some paranoia has been created, but that seems as if that is the nature of the beast. I’m happy to have washed my hands of that environment. It looks as if Montana isn’t the place for the delete to try to gather clientele and I believe we’re all OK with that.

Other than that, there hasn’t been much going on. A roadtrip is planned for later in the month and then we tighten down the hatches and prep for the big trip in May. I’ve got a few projects that I’m working on right now that I’ll post when they’re complete. Outside of that, it is hitting the pixelated pavement in search of some more freelance.

I’m currently working on some self promotion work to drum up some more freelance opportunities and to “educate” the world on the misunderstood evolution of the delete. The above is what I have for the intro logo so far. More on this soon, until next time…COURAGE.

I’ve come to the realization after a few full days of being at the controls of Beendeleted Inc. full-time that I’ve basically have taken a three year hiatus from where I was at before heading north. It is a nice feeling to snap out of the funk and feel like myself again. Walking on eggshells for that long can really take its toll. The term “a pair of brown shoes with a tuxedo” seems to be about the same as “Beendeleted Inc. in the land of Mustache wax, Fox News and bolo ties.”.

So with this being said, the delete and beendeleted.com is “going places”. I’m not sure where as of yet, but it won’t be in the middle of nowhere. First things first, we visit the homeland in May, AKA Scotland, and from there plans shall be made.

Well folks, it has been many moons since the last video dump. Lots has changed here at Beendeleted Inc. I’m now 100% freelance and have shed the shackles of the cubicle and reliving every painful joke from Office Space. Tis’ a big step, but it only makes sense for El Deleto. Deleted Inc. is back from the winter travels that was the break from the grind. Apparently a present that I didn’t know about until last night was a pretty awesome head cold. I’ve also cracked the code to time travel, if you take 5-hour energy whilst wearing a 12 hour bra, once you hit 88 mph, you’ll have achieved total time travel.

Maybe “The Jesus” is the reason for the season. That has my vote.
