Well, it’s been awhile to say the least. Lots of change here at Deleted Inc. First and most importantly I’ve joined the havers of a full time gig. It only took forever and a day, but I’ve been at it for over a month and it’s been great. I’m learning a lot about illustrator which makes me realize that I never really explored the bells and whistles of said program. Anyhoo, it’s been a learning curve and frustrating at times, but I feel like it’s getting better, but the company art director might have a different opinion of me from project to project. Let’s hope for everyone’s sake and sanity it gets better.
We lost Gor-Gor at the beginning of the year, which really was awful. We now have a baby beardie who goes by the name Sarsippius and he/she/they, it’s too early to tell, are doing well and eating a lot. Sippy was the “pig” of the bunch that we chose from. It’s nice to not have an empty lizard habitat to try not to get sad looking at.
I am logging long hours, well normal full time hours, but still manage to create some stuff for me in the time outside of work. I spend an embarrassing amount in front of the computer, but it’s not just checking the email or watching those damn videos, I try to keep motivated to do my own stuff. I’ve seen too many people give that aspect up and then never return to creating. I plan on forcing my stupid illustrations on everyone until I can illustrate no more.
Well, that about does it for this kid. I’m recovering from an early AM fall out of bed. I thought that I cracked a rib or two or maybe collapsed a lung, but feel sort of normal today but still make weird breathing noises depending how I’m positioned.
