Welcome to the online abode of Josef Buchanan the designer, the illustrator, the artist. Or could it be the guy from Children of the Corn? or Sloth from the Goonies? Nevertheless, you're here.

Fueled by art/design, music, the failure of New Coke/Cop Rock and the left over angst from my teen years, I've been bringing home the bacon professionally as a designer/illustrator/artist for now ten years. From the first time of pressing a crayon to my bedroom wall, I’ve been annoying folks with art. Eventually this would bring me to pursue art professionally. Though they did not offer classes specifically dedicated to hand turkeys or crayon murals, I did graduate with a degree in Art with a focus in graphic design.

Now with ten years of being in the trenches and a wide variety of projects, jobs, clients, etc. under my belt, I stand before you... a man, a designer, an artist, an illustrator who once had a mullet. Wisdom does come with age...this may be true, but my senior photo will not let me forget this lapse of good judgement!

I recently escaped the horrors of Colorado (i.e. fauxhawks, pointy shoes, douchey clothing and working with the sick people who embrace these items willingly), Lodo more specifically, and have set up shop in Montana where I am now working at a great web design firm. In addition to this, the wife and I recently welcomed our first born, Beatrix Finn, into the mix.
