Been Deleted Speaks

I started writing this yesterday morning, but ended up falling asleep around nine and didn’t wake up until morning realizing that I was super close to oversleeping. Eek! Not the best start to the day. It tis’ cold and rainy outside, which is good because I’m getting ready for cooler weather.

This weekend should be full of freelance, art and hopefully practicing my skills on NHL 09. My interest in hockey has been concerning me lately. Sure, I love watching it and I’m planning on signing up for a cable package that allows me to pretty much have access to every game going on, but I don’t consider myself to be the stereotypical hockey/sports fan. I hear people at the rat race speak about their football/basketball/baseball teams and I wonder if I ever sound like that when I speak of hockey. I don’t believe that I do, as luckily for me they leave that sport out of their conversation. They seem to throw hockey into the same category as nascar or some sort of second class sport. Oh well, I’m older now, I don’t do much these days except design, art and follow me some hockey. To each his own.

After the long weekend, I’m having a “great” time getting back into work. I did manage to make good progress with freelance last night. I’m going to be updating my site over the weekend, mostly the portfolio section will experience the updates. In fact, I might even have time to work on some of my own work. We’ll see.

It looks like cold weather is coming towards us. In fact, it was thirty-nine degrees the other morning at the parental unit’s house. This makes me quite happy as it means hockey is close to beginning again, but then it also means football is starting again and I’ll have to swim through all of the fantasy football and general football banter in the office. Good thing much of my day is spent attempting to keep concentration with headphones on.

Thursday, you sneaky bi#$!. Two more days in office and then a break. Nothing much to report here. The train has been pretty packed this week and me thinks it is only going to get worse as the DNC fast approaches. Eek!

Hockey is on it’s way and so is NHL 09, that is all for now, until next time….courage.

Looks like there will be another outdoor NHL game on NYD, with the Blackhawks and the dreaded Wings at Wrigley field. Last year’s game was pretty sweet and is a nice change from all of the football that is happening at that point in time, I mean…who in their right mind would choose football over hockey? No one whom I converse with. Hopefully Global warming doesn’t put a damper on things. I believe the official confirmation is set for next week.

Only eight more hours of day job to log for the rest of the week and it shall be vacation time. I’m looking forward to it. Which should come as no surprise as most people enjoy vacations, unless they’re glue sniffing weirdos. The day was a fairly standard work day. When we got home, ike just had busted out of his crate and was ready to take the apartment by storm. Luckily I was there to restore order to the masses by taking him outside and making sure that he didn’t have any ammo left to pee on such things like my full collection of Seinfeld DVDs, which has happened before.

I think I’ve stopped and started this entry about twenty times now. I’m not sure where to start, NAFTA, our crap economy or maybe I’ll just talk about myself. Yep…that is what I’ll do, its all about me. So, as you can tell I’ve made some progresso on the sketch. I believe I’m going to hunt down my colored pencils and go with it.

After having an off day from work due to some spring sickness also known as allergies which involves flem, coughing and a lot of sneezing, I’m trying to think of a sort of agenda to have going for our upcoming trip to Seattle next month. Is it a coincidence that I’ve happened to watch a documentary on the band TAD, a really long drawn out version of a K.cobain interview that was compiled for the the sundance channel as well and leaving voice mails to B. Gates to see if we can hook up for a pint or something? Maybe.

My CHIEFS jersey arrived yesterday. I’m mighty happy, as I’ve attempted to order before and have ran into some issues, but not this time. On the hockey note…..I’m ready for next season, and yep the WINGS still suck in my book.

I’ve got the confirmation that my order is through for my Hanson Brother jersey, which should arrive here in the next week or so. I tried ordering one a few years back, but ran into some issues with the company and was left with a refund and no jersey. I’m hoping this will work out better.

We’re currently working on planning a trip to the great northwest in the next few months to fly out to see friends out in Seattle. That shall be fun. Maybe I’ll start the second wave of grunge whilst I’m out there. Probably not though.

This has me frightened….I hope the site comes back soon.

So, pitchfork tv is helping block out the lackluster game that is on right now. I just watched an interview with NEUROSIS, wow….this entry is pretty pointless. At least it is tuesday and have a massive headache. I’m going to start dedicating more time to el arto here once the season tis’ in about a game and a period. I need to get back to my roots, look out new josef, the old josef is coming and he is bringing a metal type ass kicking.

I’ve been feeling a bit out of touch in das’ music scene as of late, but looking at this, I’m not sure that I’m missing that much. I think that I’ll stick to my non-live show trend that I’ve been doing since feb. of this year. A later hockey game is tonight, we’ll see how that goes.
