The year has been a year, well actually just over a month, but you get my drift. Stuff is slow right now. The part-time gig might as well not exist as I’ve completed all of two projects since xmas. I’m actively looking for another PT or full-time gig, so if you know of one or in need of a soon to be 47 year old, non-conformist, ginger, graphic designer…I’m your dude! I’ve revamped the resume and have hit the pavement via Indeed. It’s amazing how many scammers are out there. They’re pretty pathetic trying to feed off of the poor and unemployed. I’m still going to frame the fake check that was sent to me in the mail for $13k. One of these days, maybe I’ll get a for realsies check like that.
Anyhoo, things are sad a depressing around here. We’re still reeling from the loss of my father in-law. The wife has a crazy schedule right now and I’m fighting the thoughts in my head about the choices of certain family members and how to get out of upcoming events. I know right, Families…
Freelance has picked up in the past few weeks, which is swell. I really would love if some how that happened more often but alas, I’ve given up on guessing and/or betting on the human race. I’ll eventually add more beef to the portfolio. I don’t think I’ve added anything new there in some time. I also have some projects that I’m going to be getting going here shortly. We’ll be headed into birdhouse season here soon, so that’s good.
Hockey has been lackluster since the stupid All-Star break. We have tickets for a game next week, which I’m looking forward to. I hope the weather holds out for that. Wrasslin’ has been weird, so I’ve had a hard time keeping up with that. I’ve been watching a lot of shows and movies that I hadn’t seen or started back up. I’ve been dealing with a bit of artist’s block so a viewing of GUMMO might be in order.
I’ve been listening to a lot of Biafra projects lately, which all started with being asked to contribute to the fine folks at @quackmetal. I’ve be talking hockey and illustration with the mighty Santos since meeting him through a certain dog themed place I used to do stuff with who shall rename nameless. I chose a LARD album for the duck themed parody. It was fun and quacktastic.
Also I did another “ruining my favorites” themed projects based on the Anthrax NOT man, but it’s me as ROT man. I also have shirts available via my store and I had a hoodie made. Beauty, Clark.
I’ve had a few health hiccups and find out if I have to get my arm jerked around to fix my frozen shoulder this Friday. This year rocks so far….or something. Well on that not, big gulps huh? Until next time, COURAGE. and as always #FODBM
