The first post of the new year and it’s a big one, well probably not big size wise, but emotionally it’s a doozy. I’ve not posted since November and since then we lost my father in-law after a long, long battle with Parkinson’s. He was in hospice for 7 months and we tried to be there everyday, which I feel like we did well. No matter what, when it’s all said and done you never feel like you spent enough time. It’ll be 14 years since I lost both of my parents so it is a sort of familiar path, but everyone is different and every bout with grief is it’s own beast.
I’ve spent a good portion of the new year beefing up my resume in order to get some solid earnings coming into Deleted Inc. I’ve been doing freelance and a bit of work for a screen printing joint but I’ve yet to get anything since xmas, so that’ll not fly with the bill collectors. Man, this stuff gets so stupid and adult. I need to get some fun “me” projects going here soon. I was asked to contribute to a buddy’s project so I’m geeked about that, I just have to figure out the right duck/metal reference and run with it.
Well that’s about it. I’ll try and show his place some more love. As I was searching out old versions of the resume I stumbled across a pantload of illustrations and projects that aren’t up on the portfolio section of the site. That’ll have to be corrected soon!
